Conventional medical practice is no longer the sole focus of modern B.C. health professionals.

Not all health care professionals feel that health care dollars should flow to the huge and hugely expensive medical industry which gives them their livelihood.

In Canada, the British Columbia Nurses Union (BCNU) have recently demonstrated a healthy respect for important non-traditional alternatives for improving the health of vulnerable people.

The BCNU has strongly endorsed recent government plans to invest in affordable housing as well as other social initiatives, recognizing the importance of non-medical investments in the health and well-being of the province’s most needy citizens.
