Pretty much everyone is hearing about the poor quality of life for seniors that has been exposed by COVID-19. Care conditions have been held to blame, but the roots of poor care are well-bedded in poor housing conditions.

Some seniors are fortunate to have substantial pensions, or a lifetime of solid savings and investments, or children wealthy enough to support their parents. A great many are not so lucky, and improvements to their housing and care must be economical as well as more socially and physically acceptable.
