Yacht racing has been likened to ‘standing in a cold shower, ripping up hundred dollar bills.’ Still, there’s always the opportunity to save a dollar or two by living aboard.
Now a Phoenix, Arizona project is preserving the live-aboard romance, but removing all those nasty, bleeding paper cuts and the entire cold shower experience, to say nothing of the less-than-attractive up-and-down-up-and-down-vomit which is always a risk when messing about on the water.
And so we look forward to the rapid construction and ceremonial launching of the Roosevelt Land Yacht Club, a three-deck-or-so fully stabilized and completely static cruise ship that will serve as an affordable artist’s residence.
