Tweneboa who? That would be Kwajo Tweneboa, arguably the United Kingdom’s most powerful social housing activist. A year ago, he was ‘trending’ everywhere. We’d hate to think he might get forgotten. Kwajo Tweneboa would be same social housing tenant who two years ago was living with a cancer-riddled father and the rest of his family in an obvious shithole. Obvious to the family, but not to their landlord.
Learn how his family’s social housing conditions led Kwajo to take a break from his business studies and document the extend of mould, damp and bugs in his family’s home. That led him to wonder whether the other 463 families in his building were also living in shitholes.
They were. He documented that, too. Soon, there was no stopping him.
In his own words, Kwajo recounts his rise to national fame in an interview with Prospect: Kwajo Tweneboa: ‘Politicians underestimate the impact of housing’
