Where the road meets the water at the end of a long British Columbia fijord, the magnificent scenery of Bella Coola is little comfort for indigenous men from the community who lead a life of rough sleeping or couch surfing. Nuxalk First Nation housing programs have assisted woman in transition and families, but not individuals. Now a ‘tiny home’ project is under development to provide permanent affordable housing solutions for single men.
