Folklore makes ‘sneakers’ into American running shoes. It can take considerably more than a few steps in a pair to make an immigrant into an American citizen.
Part of that ‘considerably more’ undoubtedly includes a sense of belonging. That’s what a ‘Little Shop of Kindness’ aims to provide along with basic living essentials for its shoppers from out of neighbourhood, out of town, out of state, indeed out of country.
