YIMBY: Yes in My Back Yard. No, not the fake YIMBY activist movement that should be called YIYBY because they’re talking about your back yard. They don’t actually live there. With residents understandably concerned about what goes into and out of their neighbourhood, it’s only natural that there are a lot more no’s than yes’s to proposed changes.
In spite of that, there are indeed some true ‘yes’ sentiments. The one we are reporting about here is buried in a common discussion of impending neighbourhood affordable initiatives. It would seem to be rather unique in the fact that not only is it a YIMBY, but it’s tagged with a rider: “get a move on with it, will you?”
